Coronado's Oliver Horton wins a second 4A state title and resets the record
The Daily Colorado Springs team
Coronado senior Oliver Horton earned back-to-back 4A state titles last Saturday at Norris Penrose Event Center. He reset his own state meet record and finished about 18 seconds ahead of second. Not a bad way to spend Halloween morning.
“The team is in more of a rough spot than we were last year, so I wanted to do what I could do for my team.”
The team race went to Summit, which won its first boys' state team title with 75 points, ahead of Durango's 99. Coronado, the defending champs, took third with 106.
