  • Miramont Castle will host Victorian Christmas Tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday, featuring festive decorations and a playful tradition where children search for a hidden pickle for a special treat—part of the tour proceeds will help provide essential gifts to local kids. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • After a successful reintroduction program, wild turkeys are now a common sight in urban areas with Fountain resident Nicole Henderson noting they appear every morning on lawns and roads.   • The City of Colorado Springs has asked FEMA for funding to stabilize 1,650 linear feet of Monument Creek from the Mark Dabling Boulevard bridge to its confluence with Cottonwood Creek — the project will include bank grading, drop structures, and vegetation enhancements to protect nearby infrastructure and may proceed after a 15-day public comment period.  City of Colorado Springs

HEALTH NEWS

  • Step Springs, a new program for homeless men with addiction in Colorado Springs, opened four weeks ago and is already at 64% capacity with 18 spots left out of 50 beds—showing an urgent need for recovery services.
