- ➤ More than 1,000 American flags were placed in downtown medians Friday morning by volunteer guardians (from Peterson Space Force Base and O’Donnell and O’Donnell Public Relations) to honor local military service members. The 1,111 flags, a number chosen for Veterans Day on 11/11 (with adoption available for $25 per flag), are visible along North Nevada and North Cascade Avenues and support the upcoming parade. 11 News
