- ➤ Authorities evacuated residents in parts of Calhan after an 82-acre brush fire broke out Thursday afternoon near 31415 Big Springs Road east of Calhan Highway and the fire was fully contained by 1:41 p.m. as three brush trucks and a battalion chief responded. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ Multiple agencies are working today on an 80-acre fire near 31415 Big Springs Rd that is moving southwest between Yoder and Calhan, and the initial evacuation order for residents near Big Springs east of Calhan Hwy has been downgraded to a pre-evacuation order — the Colorado Springs Fire Department ended its mutual aid response at 1:10 p.m. KOAA News5
