- ➤ Safeway is planning to close four stores in southern Colorado—two in Colorado Springs, one in Lamar and one in La Junta—by or before Nov. 7 as part of a consolidation effort. - ➤ Monument-based software company Tech7 won a $489 million federal contract from the U.S. General Services Administration to boost defense technology— the firm will use AI and machine learning to help the Space Force track orbiting objects and plans to add 25 new workers in the next year.
