  • On the weekend, deputies and Fountain officers arrested 29-year-old Arturo Velasquez and 34-year-old Ariana Valverde after a stolen Jeep Liberty was tracked from Stratmoor Valley to a gas station where the driver intentionally reversed into a patrol car and was forced to stop by a TVI bumper—law enforcement later recovered methamphetamine from the vehicle.  11 News

  • Local Music Director Alisha Sweeney interviewed Denver’s high speed desert rockers Pink Fuzz, who will open Indieverse this Saturday and plan to drop their album Resolution on September 19. Siblings John and LuLu Demitro — known for heavy riffs and nonstop touring — drive the band's energetic presence as they build on their Colorado roots.  Colorado Public Radio
  • Gregg Deal, frontman of Dead Pioneers, discussed the band's breakout year after they released their album PO$T AMERICAN in April via Hassle Records and followed up on their 2021 demo debut while supporting Pearl Jam and touring Europe with Propagandhi and Pennywise — Dead Pioneers will perform live at Indieverse on Saturday, September 13.  Colorado Public Radio
  • Colorado Springs mental health therapist and paranormal investigator Erin Taylor spent 16 nights in haunted places across Colorado and the U.S.—she recorded her experiences in her book 'Sleeping Among Spirits' and other titles.   • Gov. Jared Polis warned today that the expiration of the enhanced tax credit will sharply raise marketplace insurance premiums for hundreds of thousands of Coloradans—costs could jump over 300 percent in some rural areas—and that bipartisan lawmakers in Congress plan to extend the credit for one year to help prevent a surge in uninsured residents.  Colorado Public Radio

  • Rocky, a 3-year-old Plott hound mix known for his love of belly rubs, has been waiting at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region for an adoptive family for over two weeks.
