- ➤ On September 6th, a street art festival at Adams Park in Colorado Springs celebrated the legacy of community leader Sam 'Uncle Bud' Dunlap as local artists and residents added their pieces to a commemorative mural. Artist Juan Morales’ live-painted canvas—featuring a hummingbird and cactus—will be auctioned to raise funds to restore and expand the mural for future generations. KOAA News5

- ➤ Search and rescue teams on Mt. Princeton rescued a tired dog with injured paws on September 4 and gave it first aid before carrying it down using a Fido Pro—other teams across Colorado have reported more mountain dog rescues this summer. 11 News

- ➤ SpaceX reached a $17 billion deal with Colorado-based EchoStar to acquire spectrum licenses that will let Boost Mobile subscribers use its new Starlink Direct to Cell service. - ➤ Marcus Williams, operator of Peaceful Memories crematory, issued an apology after pet remains were found in a storage unit in Colorado Springs last week. He said the freezer was inadvertently unplugged and he will strengthen safeguards while offering refunds and re-cremation assistance—hoping to rebuild trust with pet owners. 11 News

- ➤ Colorado Springs police are searching for missing man Matthew Frost, 36, who was last seen near 19th Street and West Colorado Avenue on Saturday — he had black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a black Polo t-shirt, blue jeans and black/white Nike Air Max tennis shoes, so anyone who sees him should call 911. - ➤ Deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office saved a man's life on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in Security-Widefield when they administered Narcan and performed CPR during an overdose call—Security Fire Department later gave a second dose and used an AED as over 100 grams of methamphetamine were seized from the residence.
