- ➤ The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for help finding Michael Joseph Desjardins, a 70-year-old man last seen in the 2600 Block of West Cucharras Street at 12 p.m. on Wednesday — anyone with information should call 719-444-7000. 11 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Library 21C of the Pikes Peak Library District offers free tutoring every Wednesday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. where volunteer tutors help students from elementary to college levels and Brainfuse provides online support from 2 p.m. to midnight—no library card or sign-up is needed. KOAA News5

- ➤ The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office issued a shelter-in-place order at 3:24 p.m. today for a quarter mile area around the 3800 block of Chia Drive—near Marksheffel and Drennan Road southeast of the Colorado Springs Airport due to law enforcement activity. 11 News
- ➤ The City of Colorado Springs is hosting a public open house for the South Academy Boulevard Improvements Project on Tuesday, September 9 at Pikes Peak United Way's Family Success Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. City officials will share plans to fix 18 miles of the boulevard—replacing old pavement, curbs, gutters, adding a new path and fixing drainage—and ask for local input.
