- ➤ The City of Colorado Springs is hosting a public open house for the South Academy Boulevard Improvements Project on Tuesday, September 9 at Pikes Peak United Way's Family Success Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. City officials will share plans to fix 18 miles of the boulevard—replacing old pavement, curbs, gutters, adding a new path and fixing drainage—and ask for local input.
