- ➤ Longtime resident Wanda Stockwell celebrated her 103rd birthday Monday in Colorado Springs—she is known for her active spirit, healthy ways, and warm personality despite dealing with arthritis and a painful hip. - ➤ On Monday, visitors in downtown Colorado Springs were greeted by ambassadors in bright yellow vests as part of the new Clean and Safe program—staff talked with shoppers and people experiencing homelessness, offered art tips, and reported litter and graffiti while covering about six miles per shift. The program will operate most days from Wednesday through Saturday and includes ambassadors like Dean Strain and Claire Ami. KOAA News5
- ➤ On Labor Day, several hundred people gathered outside City Hall in downtown Colorado Springs for a 'Workers over Billionaires' rally to protest economic inequality and demand fair wages, social security protection, and taxation reforms—organizers said the event was part of the National May Day Strong Coalition's call for stronger support for workers. - ➤ A motorcyclist died early Sunday around 12:15 a.m. near Colorado Avenue and South 32nd Street—close to Red Rock Canyon Open Space—after his bike hit a curb and left the road; no one else was injured. KOAA News5

- ➤ A suspect, 44-year-old Andrew Pressland, is facing charges after shots were reportedly fired outside a business on the 3700 block of Drennan Road in southeast Colorado Springs—officers said no one was injured and his vehicle was intercepted during a high-risk stop. 11 News
- ➤ The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for help in locating missing, at-risk 12-year-old Jasia Hoke who was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Friday on North Union Boulevard near Patty Jewett Golf Course wearing a red polo shirt, blue jeans and red, black and white Nike shoes — police describe him as a black male with short hair, 5'3 and weighing 85 pounds. - ➤ A 30-year-old man was accused of turning off the power supply to a cell tower in Woodland Park at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, causing a major service outage in Teller County — he is now held on a $2,000 bond. Colorado Springs Gazette
