- ➤ The Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off starts today at Memorial Park with a 6 a.m. drone show, 6:30 a.m. opening ceremony and 7 a.m. balloon lift off as the event unfolds through Monday. - ➤ Colorado Springs welcomed the opening of a new 23,000-square-foot senior center Friday with a ribbon-cutting and open house by city officials and the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region. The center offers indoor pickleball courts, a kitchen, and social spaces—built after two years of planning that began in July 2024—and it will host daily programs run by the YMCA. 11 News
