- ➤ On Aug. 13, federal agents raided two El Ranchito stores on Airport Road and Maizeland Road in a money laundering probe—owner David Garcia said agents took cash, damaged property, detained employees, and questioned staff while the family denies any illegal activity and insists their business helps send money to families abroad. - ➤ Colorado Springs Public Works tested expedited road washout repairs in North Cheyenne Canon after a couple of days of rain—project leaders are confident the redesign with gabion baskets and 300 tons of rock will keep the road safe for local residents.
