- ➤ A fatal traffic crash in east Colorado Springs happened on Sunday just after 2 a.m.—a vehicle carrying several passengers veered off Platte Avenue and hit a tree, leaving one female dead and two passengers with serious injuries while investigators cited alcohol as a factor and the Major Crash Team leads the investigation. - ➤ Early Sunday morning a traffic crash on East Platte Avenue left one person dead and two injured after a vehicle hit a tree—police arrested an 18-year-old driver for DUI and said alcohol appears to be a contributing factor. 11 News

- ➤ Police arrested Vaughn Fejerang, 47, on Sunday morning after a rideshare driver reported that a stolen car had been used to kidnap a woman and her dog from a stoplight at Academy Boulevard and Bijou Street — officers later found the suspect abandon the vehicle on Circle Drive near Hancock Expressway and located the victim with no injuries. 11 News
- ➤ On Saturday, August 23, Colorado Springs Police responded to a shooting on N Murray Blvd, finding shell casings and one person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound who was treated and taken to a local hospital — the investigation remains ongoing with the suspect count unknown. KOAA News5
- ➤ On Sunday morning, Colorado Springs police pursued a suspect in a reported carjacking and kidnapping on the 1200 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue but cancelled the chase when the vehicle drove against the flow on I-25—no arrests have been made. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ On Saturday night, police responded to a shots fired call at 8:15 p.m. in the 500 block of North Murray Boulevard where they found multiple shell casings and transported one person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to a local hospital (no arrests have been made) as investigators work to determine what happened.
