- ➤ On Saturday at about 11 a.m., state troopers reported that a Nissan Pathfinder rolled on North Peyton Highway east of Colorado Springs, causing a rollover crash in which four teenage motorists were injured—one fatally—after the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ Two motorists died and two others were seriously injured in a two-car crash in east Colorado Springs early Sunday—police said a vehicle trying to turn left hit another coming southbound at the intersection of South Powers and East Fountain boulevards near the airport. Colorado Springs Gazette

- ➤ Colorado Springs Police Department is seeking community help to locate 21-year-old Brandon Hugney, an at-risk adult last seen in the 1500 Block of Tesla Drive around 3:00 p.m. Sunday who is described as white (5'10", 160 lbs) with brown eyes, a thin black mustache and a crew cut, wearing a white Colorado University t-shirt, red shorts, gray sandals and red and black glasses. - ➤ El Paso County deputies are searching for 13-year-old Lyrek Pacheco after she was last seen riding her bike on Sunday around 6:55 p.m. on Kiva Road in Security-Widefield (she wore black pants and a black and white t-shirt) and ask anyone with information to call (719) 3905555. 11 News

- ➤ A study by the Trust for Public Land found that over 20 million visitors used Colorado Springs parks in 2024, generating about $90 million for the local economy. Director Britt Haley said the parks also raised housing values—and saved the city $10.6 million in stormwater management costs while reducing healthcare expenses for residents. Colorado Public Radio

- ➤ Residents in Colorado Springs say delays at the local Housing Authority are causing housing insecurity as families wait over 30 days for voucher transfers and some face eviction issues — residents report sleeping in cars or motels while waiting for help. Federal funding changes will soon convert emergency vouchers to traditional ones and open a lottery for new applications to ease the long wait. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ Some Colorado Springs residents have faced housing insecurity due to delays in the Section 8 voucher process that left them homeless or at risk of eviction. Local officials say the complex federal guidelines and funding issues are causing these delays — pre-application sign-up will open online Tuesday at noon until Thursday at noon.
