  • Daycare teacher Tamara and her two sons moved into a new home on June 21 gifted by Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity—built in honor of their late executive director Paul Johnson—to leave behind an unsafe apartment and enjoy a secure neighborhood in Ridge Sand Creek.  FOX21

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • CSPD said that on Saturday, June 21, officers responded at 9 p.m. near Constitution and Alpine when two vehicles speeding hit a turning car, and the driver was taken to the hospital where he later died—alcohol may have been involved.  FOX21

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Union workers at the Safeway on Circle Drive and Galley Road walked off the job on Sunday, making it the first Colorado Springs store to join a regional strike over alleged unfair labor practices and understaffing + the grocer said its stores would remain open as talks with United Food & Commercial Workers Local 7 continue after nine months of negotiations.  Colorado Springs Gazette
