- ➤ An immigrants’ rights group claimed that law enforcement may have violated rights during the April 27 nightclub raid by detaining 86 patrons without confirming their legal status—an action that ICE said was within its authority to question those suspected of being unlawfully in the country—raising concerns over potential racial profiling in Colorado Springs. - ➤ The US Air Force Academy graduation begins in a few hours with the gates opening soon for graduates+ families and guests to enter, and officials advise following all posted security instructions. 11 News
- ➤ Starting Tuesday, June 3, a section of Boulder Street between Nevada Avenue and Weber Street will close to support Palmer High School renovations, which include a new academic wing as part of an estimated $100 million project. Intermittent closures on Webster Street east of the school will continue through July 20, 2026—roads will reopen on Jan. 3, 2028. Colorado Public Radio
- ➤ Cadets John Halus (from South Carolina) and Olivia Zayas spent four years at the cadet-run radio station 97.7 KAFA at the Air Force Academy and are graduating today, sharing their love of music and stories with the community.
