- ➤ Firefighters conducted a high-angle rescue at Garden of the Gods today after a person got stuck on a rock face — the Colorado Springs Fire Department quickly retrieved the individual. 11 News

- ➤ A man was charged in connection with a Colorado Springs shooting—six people were injured—in an incident that recently took place. 11 News
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Local Westminster muralist Grow Love will show her work next month at the Galleries of Contemporary Art at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs alongside fellow muralists Lady Pink and Sydney G. James in an exhibit titled “Justice of the Piece: Resistance in Unity in Street Art.” An arts market for local and regional creatives will open with a deadline to apply to sell works today — giving many a chance to join the event. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Colorado Springs approved a new master plan for Fishers Canyon Open Space that will guide a 15—20 year effort to add trails, rock climbing and conservation on 343 acres. The plan includes 9—10 miles of trails and a link to the Chamberlain Trail, and it was developed with input from 2,600 local residents after the city bought the land in November 2021 and March 2022. - ➤ Today the Thunderbirds arrive in Colorado Springs to fly a survey mission over the Air Force Academy between noon and 2:30 p.m. before landing at Peterson Air Force Base. The graduation will be held Thursday at Falcon Stadium and officials warn of heavy traffic, detours, road closures and a bicycle ban from 5 a.m. through 4 p.m. 11 News
