People visited the 50th Territory Days celebration in Old Colorado City over Memorial Day weekend despite gloomy skies and drizzle, enjoying carnival rides, axe throwing, live music, and food vendors.

Brian Hatton was arrested on Saturday on a felony warrant after police responded to a trespassing call at an apartment complex on the 3800 block of Half Turn Road—officers injured during the chase detained him and he was later booked after obtaining medical clearance.
Six people were taken to the hospital after an active shooter incident occurred on the 1400 block of Potter Drive near Palmer Park Boulevard and Academy Boulevard Saturday night — police said an argument sparked the shooting and one victim is in critical condition.
A bystander recording at Memorial Park was assaulted Sunday night when car enthusiasts drove recklessly and some group members attacked the recorder; police arrived around 7:00 p.m. and took the victim to a local hospital for injuries that were not life threatening (no suspects have been identified).
