  • The Manitou Incline reopened Saturday after emergency personnel responded at 9 a.m. to a life-threatening breathing emergency near step 900, and medics tried life-saving measures but the individual died.  Colorado Springs Gazette

  • Pine Creek High School valedictorian Emma Luu has channeled her love for overlooked stories into co-founding Apex SAT, a nonprofit offering free college prep services that reached over 70 countries.   • The Peterson Aero Club at Hangar 133 celebrates 75 years of safe flight instruction and will host a movie night in June, Aviation Day later, and an Aero Club Legends event in the fall. The club trains anyone 16+ to fly at Peterson Space Force Base.  Colorado Springs Gazette

  • Wildlife officers responded today in North Gate after a call about bears and safely relocated a 150-pound sow and her two 100-pound cubs from under a family's back deck (found during the inspection) to a safer habitat.  11 News
