- ➤ PikeRide is expanding its electric bicycle network to southeast neighborhoods before Bike to Work Day on Tuesday, June 24, as part of an effort to boost transportation access. The nonprofit will add standard and cargo bikes to its system at future pickup stations chosen through community feedback + grant support. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ Rocky is a 9½-year-old Lab mix ready for adoption in Colorado Springs. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region says his $50 fee covers a vet exam, vaccinations, and a microchip, and he will do best in a calm home with older children. 11 News

- ➤ Ginger the beaver, known for her tree allergy, inspired Pixar's animated film Hoppers after her lively life at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (she even earned a film credit when the movie released in March). - ➤ Muralist Malachiah Curry and graphic artist Tyler Haynie installed new murals at Ford Amphitheater ahead of the concert season. - ➤ Academy District 20 appointed interim superintendent Susan Field during a special Tuesday meeting. - ➤ Cheyenne Mountain Zoo said that 21-year-old grizzly bear Emmett is progressing well after his cancer treatment in late February. The bear is back with his companion Digger in the main grizzly bear yard as staff continue monitoring his recovery. 11 News
