The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC partnered with a Morgan Stanley firm to launch the Multiple Employer Aggregation Program that helps small businesses meet state law requiring retirement savings plans.

The program will ease costs and administrative work by saving companies between $3,000 and $10,000 annually.

A juvenile was arrested Wednesday night at 11:55 p.m. on Corsicana Drive for car theft after police learned he had allegedly pointed a gun at a victim during a separate burglary — officers later recovered a stolen Hyundai containing a loaded 9mm handgun and a BB gun.

Colorado Springs Parks Advisory Board approved the master plan for Fishers Canyon Open Space—a 343-acre area in the southwest that will get 9-10 miles of new trails, bouldering zones and a fully accessible loop—and the plan, shaped by input from over 2,600 residents, reserves 66% of the land for wildlife and links to a 26-mile master-planned trail.

Home buyers in Colorado have more options as the number of homes for sale has increased roughly 50% from last year, with 24,000-25,000 active listings (a record high in over a decade).

Sellers are lowering prices on nearly 29% of listings and homes are taking longer to sell, with single-family homes averaging 64 days on the market (up 12.3% from last year).
