- ➤ U.S. Air Force Academy’s Hosmer Visitor Center opens May 16 with a free self-guided tour that takes visitors through seven galleries showcasing the cadet journey & military training history outside the academy’s gates. Springs
- ➤ Academy District 20 received $42.7 million from the Department of Defense to rebuild and expand Douglass Valley Elementary School on the Air Force Academy base in a funding announcement made yesterday; the project, part of the Public Schools on Military Installations program, will raise capacity to 787 students once complete. - ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife said that with no new wolf releases last winter, the restoration project must rely on existing packs producing pups this spring.
