- ➤ Legislation introduced Tuesday could extend retirement of the Ray Nixon Power Plant's coal unit from 2029 to 2032. Colorado Springs Utilities must file a new clean energy plan by Dec. 31 to cut emissions, according to CEO Travas Deal (SB26-182). 11 News
- ➤ Today, Mayor Mobolade and Fire Chief Royal warned that record low moisture and high temperatures are fueling a dangerous wildfire season while urging residents to sign up for Peak Alerts and follow the Ready-Set-Go plan; the city will use drones and automated messaging to help reduce fire risks.
