- ➤ Colorado Senate President James Coleman introduced Senate Bill 170 to create an 18-member task force that will study school practices closing educational gaps, with a final report due Jan. 1 and a budget of $135,000 funded by grants and donations. Colorado Public Radio
- ➤ Doherty High School senior George Miller was accepted by West Point, the Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy and will attend the Air Force Academy this fall to study pre-health (crediting his NJROTC experience) and earning congressional nominations from Rep. - ➤ On Saturday, Apr. 25, designated sites in Colorado Springs accepted expired and unused medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to prevent accidental poisoning & water pollution; residents were advised to bring medications in a sealed bag, and some pharmacies also offer year-round disposal. 11 News
