- ➤ Cheyenne Mountain Zoo welcomed three new ring-tailed lemur pups late last month, adding to its growing animal family. The Dublin Boulevard Improvements project will close roads from Black Forest Road and Shimmering Creek Drive to Peterson Road Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. 11 News

- ➤ Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating alleged threats made to Grand Peak Academy, a School District 49 charter school near East Woodmen Road and Black Forest Road on April 21 — police report no credible evidence has been found and there appears to be no link to similar threats in Pueblo. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Last week, a wildfire burned 128 acres at Turkey Track Shooting Range during a Red Flag Warning in Teller County and officials said the human-caused fire may lead to stricter target shooting rules this summer—part of a planned overhaul for safer shooting practices in Pike National Forest. - ➤ Governor Jared Polis signed SB25-073 into law last week ensuring children with disabilities from military families keep access to their existing education program when enrolling in Colorado—sponsored by Colorado Springs lawmakers including State Senator Lary Liston and Representative Rebecca Keltie. - ➤ Mayor Yemi Mobolade defended U.S. Space Command’s permanent presence in Colorado Springs with an open letter published Sunday, April 20—he said the command is key to national security and local defense while moving it would disrupt services and waste resources. FOX21
