Officers responded to a drive-by shooting on November 29th at the 2200 block of Monteagle Street when a woman waiting in her car heard gunfire as an unknown man fired about 19 rounds at her vehicle and a nearby house without injuring her, and an arrest warrant obtained Tuesday charged Colorado Springs resident Joshua Spradling with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, felony menacing and illegal discharge of a firearm—he was already in custody on separate charges.
Nicholas Jordan, accused of shooting Celie Rain Montgomery and Samuel Knopp on UCCS campus in February 2024, was found guilty of first-degree murder by a jury on Wednesday.
Colorado Springs police arrested 34-year-old Jonathan Rohde on Wednesday for motor vehicle theft after a surveillance operation—he had evaded arrest three times and was found with a stolen gun and a large amount of methamphetamine.
