- ➤ SQS and Colorado Springs-based Space ISAC announced they are developing the Quantum Testbed and Proving Ground — a new lab to test, validate and refine commercial quantum technologies for a range of participants. The pilot program will allow businesses, defense contractors and government agencies to join at lower investment levels and scale their solutions. Colorado Springs Business Journal
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Friday, a road rage crash on I-25 near Garden of the Gods Road in north Colorado Springs left one person dead and multiple injured—Durriel Humphrey, 44, was arrested and may face felony charges. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ Colorado Springs Police Officer Neil Jackson was arrested on felony stalking charges after allegedly using department software to track his ex-girlfriend, a fellow officer, and he has been placed on administrative leave with a $6,000 bond set and a court appearance scheduled for April 17th at 1:30 p.m. 11 News
- ➤ Colorado Springs police arrested a man and a woman on Wednesday for possession of illegal weapons and controlled substances—officers seized 23,500 fentanyl pills, additional narcotics, and several firearms including a ghost rifle after arresting the man on a felony eluding charge on South Cascade Avenue and searching a residence in Hidden Circle. - ➤ Mountain Metropolitan Transit will offer free summer rides from June 1 through August 31 on all buses and Metro Mobility paratransit services—funded by Senate Bill 24-032 through the Zero Fare Transit Grant program. City of Colorado Springs
