CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police are investigating a string of robberies from Tuesday that hit Loaf' N Jug on Airport Road and four other sites on N Murray Blvd, Issaquah Drive, Dublin Blvd, and Barnes Rd + the El Paso County Sheriff is treating a suspicious death south of Colorado Springs as a homicide with officials saying the same suspects are linked to all incidents. - ➤ Early Tuesday morning, Colorado Springs police sought three male suspects who robbed six convenience stores and burgled a business—store employees reported the suspects were armed and believed the same individuals committed all the incidents. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ El Paso County Sheriff's Office arrested Miguel Angel Garcia Hernandez (29) on Tuesday in connection with the Crawford Avenue homicide after officers found a dead man in a vehicle near Crawford Avenue and Withington Drive in Security-Widefield on Monday morning. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ Police are investigating a series of six convenience store robberies in Colorado Springs early Tuesday morning — one incident occurred just before 4 a.m. at Constitution and Peterson with an armed suspect and later robberies followed by 4:20 a.m. on Airport Road, North Murray, Barnes, Issaquah, and Dublin. 11 News

- ➤ Colorado Springs Utilities released its Wildfire Mitigation Plan on Tuesday, March 25 to address increasing wildfire risk in the area. The plan focuses on risk assessment, risk mitigation — and situational awareness using in-house drones and a dedicated Wildland Fire Team, and allocates millions for vegetation management, system hardening, and forest health projects.
