ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A bicyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a pickup truck near eastbound Platte Avenue and Murray Boulevard on Thursday morning—police closed westbound Platte at Chelton, northbound Chelton at Platte, and eastbound Platte from Circle Drive. 11 News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Kimberlee Singler, a Colorado Springs mother accused of drugging and killing her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son during a reported burglary at Palomino Ranch on Dec. 19th, fled to England and is fighting extradition after a UK judge ruled she could be sent to face murder charges in the U.S., and her attorney has appealed the ruling. - ➤ Colorado Springs police said 74-year-old Kathryn H. Roever was last seen walking near Prospect Lake in the 600 block of South Union Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and remains missing—residents are urged to share any information with investigators. 11 News

- ➤ Bringing Music to Life is hosting its 15th Annual Instrument Drive in Colorado Springs to collect band and orchestra instruments for students in need. Donations will be accepted at two Meeker Music locations and a Pueblo site until March 29 (acceptable donations include strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, guitars and keyboards). KOAA News5
- ➤ On Saturday at First United Methodist Church, about 70 members of Colorado Springs Chorale and Chamber Orchestra of the Springs will debut internationally-known composer Anne M. Guzzo's 'Canciones del Rio', a seven-movement piece inspired by Carlos Martinez del Rio's social media posts that features a dog, lone wolf and a musical murmuration. The concert titled 'Poemas y Canciones' will also include works by Aaron Copeland, Randall Thompson and other Spanish composers — offering local audiences a rich mix of musical styles. - ➤ Ellicott Fire Protection District crews worked on a wildfire near Handle Road in Ellicott and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office ordered evacuations for residents along Colorado 94 west to Ellicott Highway, south to Henderson Road and east to Calhan Highway at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, while officials reported the fire was under 20 acres with a visible smoke plume.
