- ➤ Eight local leadership organizations will host 'Get On Board!' on April 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Penrose House Conference Center as community members will explore serving on nonprofit + government boards and commissions. - ➤ Airbnb Community Fund donated $50,000 to Care and Share Food Bank, which will provide 125,000 meals for those in need. Mayor Yemi Mobolade attended Wednesday’s ceremony at the headquarters (2605 Preamble Point) as the funding was unveiled to support local food pantries. Colorado Springs Gazette
- ➤ Downtown will host the 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday at noon & it will showcase over 100 entries alongside a scavenger hunt and a 5K race, drawing thousands to celebrate Irish heritage and honor local firefighters. - ➤ Millibo Art Theatre’s 20th annual Women’s Theatre Festival brings original plays, dance, poetry, film and art to explore this year’s theme Women’s Work. - ➤ Mark Wyant, a Dallas hotelier, bought the historic Cliff House at Pikes Peak for $4 million and plans to restore its signature features, update rooms and a new bar, and renovate the adjacent Wheeler House for employee housing while keeping the hotel open during renovations that may take up to 18 months.
