- ➤ Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center was honored by the state during the 2026 Military and Veteran Recognition Day for its work in mental health advocacy and veteran support. The center, which celebrated 10 years in Colorado Springs, now continues offering wraparound services after a spike in veteran suicide rates. 11 News
- ➤ Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services announced on social media that the large vertical skate ramp at Memorial Park will be permanently decommissioned on Monday due to ongoing safety issues and deterioration — the smaller ramp will continue to be maintained. KOAA News5

- ➤ Jeff’s Bagel Run (the first bagel shop in Colorado) will hold a soft opening on Wednesday and Thursday at 6082 Stetson Hills Boulevard, offering free bagels and coupon incentives for social media posts, and its grand opening on Friday at 6:30 a.m. will feature a raffle and prize wheel. 11 News

- ➤ Jungle Reef's new interactive aquarium (in a reformatted 30,000 sqft mall space) is set to open at Chapel Hills Mall later this month or early March, where families can pet stingrays, encounter reptiles and view sharks close. - ➤ Singing Bowls of the Rockies offers three 90 minute New Moon Cave of the Winds Sound Bath experiences from April 17 through April 19 at the Cave of the Winds (tickets cost $65), giving local participants a unique chance to experience natural acoustics in a dark, enclosed space. - ➤ Chef Eric Brenner of Red Gravy began serving Italian-American favorites on Tejon Street 11 years ago and has since grown community programs (including guest voting for pasta specials) that enhance local dining. - ➤ UCCS Radio, the student-run streaming station at UCCS, won the 2026 Best Streaming-Only Station Award from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System last Friday in New York City+ marking its second top honor in three years as it was also a finalist in six other categories. KOAA News5
