- ➤ The History Colorado exhibit (buffalo soldiers: reVision) at Fort Garland highlights Buffalo Soldier John Taylor’s journey from slavery to freedom and his role in bridging cultures during the Civil War and Indian Wars; the display features artwork and primary documents to bring his legacy to life during Black History Month. - ➤ Farmers and volunteer fire teams responded to a recent hay fire in rural areas when strong winds spread flames across fields and roads. They used tractors and water tanks to protect cattle and property (county crews also closed highways for safety). Colorado Springs Gazette

- ➤ A study by the Common Sense Institute found that Colorado Medicaid spending reached $16 billion in 2025 (a 101% increase from 2015) even as enrollment nearly returned to previous levels.
