- ➤ Colorado Springs officials featured a podcast on the Southeast Strong Neighborhood Plan (the first project under the Neighborhood Planning Program) that will guide improvements in transportation, economic development, culture, housing, public safety, and health; Councilmember Gold leads the conversation to update residents on upcoming community changes. - ➤ City officials have invited proposals to repurpose the former Meadows Park facility, which closed in October 2025, into a new community hub — proposals focusing on youth programming, food access, and other neighborhood services will be reviewed in the spring. KOAA News5
- ➤ Liz Denson, CEO of Early Connections Learning Centers, testified before the U.S. Senate on Thursday about the federal child care funding freeze affecting local C-CAP subsidies (Colorado Child Care Assistance Program).
