- ➤ A UC Berkeley study finds that overtime rules in agriculture led to fewer working hours and lower earnings — with similar trends in other states, the results are prompting local ag employers and lawmakers to reevaluate Colorado’s overtime policy for crop workers last passed in 2022. - ➤ Colorado Springs Utilities has launched Energy Wise, a program that charges a higher rate for energy used during peak hours (5-9 p.m.) through April. The new pricing affects customers, including those new since October 2025, and could lead to a small increase in bills if usage habits remain unchanged. Colorado Public Radio

- ➤ The Colorado Springs Parks Department has enhanced connectivity in North Cheyenne Cañon by linking Lower Columbine, Middle Columbine, and Creekside Trails, offering hikers easier access from the Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center (2120 S. - ➤ Crews will begin controlled burns at Fort Carson and the Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site northeast of Trinidad this winter into early spring.
