- ➤ Colorado’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.9% in November from 4.1% in September, with 125,900 unemployed individuals (a decrease of 8,400) reported after October data was skipped due to a federal shutdown delay; job and participation numbers also declined compared to previous months. - ➤ Colorado Springs released a Waste Diversion Action Plan to boost recycling from 16% to 37% by 2045. Deputy Chief of Staff Ryan Trujillo said the plan expands recycling education — offering toolkits for local businesses, schools, and multi-family housing with state fees supporting added costs starting 2026. - ➤ The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office issued an evacuation order east of Yoder on Wednesday afternoon — residents were advised to leave the area due to an active fire. 11 News

- ➤ Federal officials froze Colorado’s child care funds, raising concerns that the state could lose $91M by Jan. 31, which may interrupt services for 27,000 children & more than 18,000 families. Gov.
