  • A Jan. 18 federal deadline looms as Colorado Parks + Wildlife must provide details on wolf management and relocation decisions to keep its state authority, following a Dec. 18 warning from a national wildlife agency amid livestock losses. HEALTH NEWS

  • Colorado Springs couple Leo and Brandy Nunes use their bright blue hair to raise local prostate cancer awareness after Leo’s diagnosis in his 40s (their fundraiser raised $28,000, exceeding last year’s total) and they plan additional events to support early detection and free testing programs.  Colorado Springs Gazette

  • The Air Force women basketball team lost its 25th straight game by a score of 64 to 58 at home Saturday. Jayda McNabb scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds before UNLV clinched the win with four free throws in the final 12 seconds.  Colorado Springs Gazette
  • Air Force hockey lost 5-2 to Arizona State in the Desert Hockey Classic on Saturday night - the Sun Devils clinched their third straight trophy with standout goalie Connor Hasley, who made 33 saves, and the Falcons will host Bentley next weekend.  Colorado Springs Gazette
