About this event

Larry Brooks describes the places just before and after the midpoint of a novel as "pinch points." This is where PP1) we allude to the antagonistic force and PP2) we note the impact the actual antagonist has on the protagonist. Many of our writers try the man vs nature style of conflict, but in a successful novel the antagonist needs to be identified. You need a face to truly impact your reader. A good example would be in "Schindler's List." The Nazis are the force through half the movie. However, everybody remembers Ralph Fiennes portrayal of the concentration camp commandant, Amon Goeth, who appears at the second pinch point as the face of evil. Now, about the group: To new writers, there's no reason a good book shouldn't get published. You just need two things: a mentor and a great agent.

We can satisfy the first half of the equation.

Now you can spend four years and a couple of hundred thousand dollars to get a creative writing degree, or you can learn how to write with others for free.

This course provides a writer with what it takes to be an author. A deadline. We push for 5000 NEW words every two weeks. If you stick with it, your first draft can be completed in a year.

Think about it. How much have you really written in the last year?

About the workshop:

We've worked on hundreds of books over the years.

Call or text if you have any questions.
