About this event
Join Senior Resource Council on November 18 for an informative and practical presentation designed to help professionals better understand and support individuals living with dementia and the families who care for them.
This educational session will begin with an overview of dementia, including what it is, common warning signs, and how cognitive changes may present in older adults. The second half of the presentation will focus on practical strategies for interacting with individuals living with dementia and navigating conversations and situations involving family members and caregivers.
Attendees will gain valuable insight into recognizing dementia-related challenges, communicating more effectively, and providing compassionate, person-centered support.
Whether you work directly with older adults, support caregivers, or simply want to deepen your understanding of dementia, this session will provide practical tools and real-world guidance you can apply immediately.
Join us at The Ivy for a meaningful discussion that will strengthen your ability to serve and support individuals affected by dementia.
